All members of Bridlington Community Shed have the right to participate free from abuse or neglect.
Members have a duty to care for each other and to protect any member from harm.

When someone is acting out of character ask if they are alright.
If they indicate they are really not OK,
If you think they are at risk of harm TODAY, ring 999 and ask for the police.
Otherwise continue to listen and try to remember exactly what they are saying.
When they have finished explain that you want to help and will pass on in confidence what they have said to the Shed’s Safeguarding Contact.
John will listen and make a note of what you tell him. He will decide whether to contact the East Riding Safeguarding Adults Team.
